The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has officially opened its recruitment portal for the 2026 exercise, allowing qualified Nigerians to begin applications for positions across its various cadres.

A check by Tribune Online on Friday confirmed that the portal is now active.

FRSC, on the portal, urged applicants to carefully review the requirements for each category before proceeding with their applications.

“Welcome to FRSC Recruitment Portal. Start your application, review the current cadre requirements, and continue your recruitment process from one place.

“Before you start your application process, it is advisable that you go through the following requirements list to know what you will need to complete your application successfully.”

Tribune Online reports that the corps had on Thursday, June 25 announced plans to commence the 2026 recruitment exercise as part of efforts to boost its workforce and improve service delivery across the country.

According to the recruitment notice, the exercise covers the officer cadre, marshal inspectorate and road marshal assistant categories.

FRSC said available positions include Superintendent Route Commander (SRC), Route Commander/Deputy Route Commander (RC/DRC), Assistant Route Commander (ARC), Marshal Inspector II and III, as well as Road Marshal Assistant I, II and III.

The agency said applicants seeking officer cadre positions must hold relevant university degrees or Higher National Diplomas from recognised institutions. It added that candidates applying for marshal inspectorate and road marshal assistant positions must also meet the academic and professional qualifications specified for their categories.

The corps added that artisans, drivers and riders with relevant qualifications and experience are eligible to apply under the road marshal assistant cadre.

It further stated that applicants must be Nigerians by birth, medically fit and computer literate, noting that possession of a valid National Driver’s Licence would be an added advantage.

FRSC also listed other requirements, including a certificate of medical fitness from a government-approved hospital, relevant professional licences where necessary, and a minimum height of 1.65 metres for men and 1.58 metres for women.

The agency said prospective applicants must be of good character, free from financial embarrassment and must not have any criminal conviction.

It advised interested candidates to submit their applications online through its recruitment portal at recruitment.frsc.gov.ng.

The corps said the application window will remain open for four weeks from Friday, July 3, 2026, and stressed that the recruitment process is free.

FRSC also warned applicants to be wary of fraudsters, insisting that no payment is required at any stage of the exercise.

For enquiries, the agency asked members of the public to contact its helpline, 122.
