I spend N400m monthly, excluding my wife’s expenses – Davido

Nigerian Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that he spends between $200,000 and $300,000 (about N300 million to N400 million) every month to maintain his lifestyle.

The award-winning singer disclosed this during a recent livestream with popular streamer Davrel, in which he discussed the financial demands of being a global music star.

According to Davido, the monthly expenditure does not include the expenses of his wife, Chioma Adeleke, or other members of his household.

“I spend between $200,000 and $300,000 every month, and that doesn’t even include my wife’s expenses or the rest of my household,” he said.

The singer added that the figure also excludes major luxury purchases such as exotic cars and jewellery.

“It also doesn’t include expenses for the purchase of luxury cars and jewellery,” he added.

Davido, one of Africa’s biggest music exports, has often spoken about the high cost of maintaining his career, which includes international travel, security, staff salaries, logistics, and other business commitments.
