Adeniyi Adeyemi, the self-styled Director General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), says he is ready to clear his name over allegations that the agency he leads is fraudulent and fictitious.

Adeyemi stated this during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, July 2, 2026.

The self-styled DG is currently facing an eight-count charge by the Nigeria Police bordering on forgery, impersonation, and obtaining money by false pretences.

He expressed willingness to appear in court to defend himself.

“Definitely, Sir. If I’m wrong, let the court of law do the right thing. And if I am right, let the court of law do the right thing,” he said.

Adeyemi declined to comment extensively on the multiple allegations against him.

He, however, denied claims that he had previously used a supposed United Nations agency to scam several people.

“Since the matter is already before a court of competent jurisdiction, I am ready to clear my name. Let the law take its course.

“My lawyers are involved, and we will follow the process to the end,” he said.

When asked about the creation of the council and whether he received a letter of appointment, Adeyemi replied: “Definitely, I have a letter of appointment given to me. However, since the matter is in court, I won’t be able to say much about it.”

He noted that he is not currently in the best of health but remains available to appear in court to clear his name.

“Yes, Sir. All those issues will be sorted in court,” he added.
