Lagos Afrobeats Concert Sets New Guinness World Record

Guinness World Records has confirmed that a concert organised by Dapper Live & Artists in Lagos now holds the record for the largest orchestra assembled for an Afrobeats performance.

The record was announced on social media with a video clip from the show, which featured Fuji legends King Saheed Osupa and KS1 Malaika alongside several Afrobeats acts.

According to the post, the record was set for the largest orchestra assembled for an Afrobeats concert, comprising 85 musicians organised by Dapper Live & Artists.

The attempt took place at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos, Nigeria, in December 2025 and was staged as a live orchestral performance built around an Afrobeats composition.

Led by a conductor, the concert featured a lead singer, an accompanying choir, dancers and 85 musicians performing in coordination, showcasing how Afrobeats and orchestral music can blend seamlessly.

The concert, tagged “Trench Symphony: The Dapper Live Experience,” was held on December 16, 2025.

Other performers included T.I Blaze, Rybeena, Bhadboi OML, Kashcoming, TML Vibez, Lasmid, Heis Cazulee and Dwillsharmony.

Dapper Live & Artists is linked to music executive Damilola Akinwunmi, popularly known as Dapper, who is also known for his relationship with celebrity chef and three-time Guinness World Records holder, Hilda Baci.
