Okpebholo appoints two Special Advisers

BENIN CITY – Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the appointment of two Special Advisers as part of efforts to strengthen governance and stakeholder engagement in the state.

The appointments were contained in a Government Special Announcement dated July 7, 2026, and signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq.

According to the statement, Francis G. Okoyo was appointed Special Adviser on Diaspora Affairs, while Momoh Ahmed Musa was named Special Adviser on Islamic Religious Matters.

The government said the appointments were in line with Governor Okpebholo’s commitment to delivering purposeful, inclusive and people-centred governance.

It added that the move was also aimed at deepening stakeholder engagement and advancing the administration’s SHINE Agenda.
