My bride price was paid in dollars – Nigerian woman celebrates and addresses mockers as she remarries after two children from failed marriage

A Nigerian woman, Eno Jossy, who remarried after two children from a failed marriage, has revealed that her bride price was paid in dollars while defending herself against online mockers. 

In a Facebook post on Friday, July 31, 2026, Eno addressed those mocking and slandering her, saying she caught a “maga” because she married a Caucasian. 

According to Eno, people mocking her don’t know her story; how she suffered burns from hot oil and harsh chemicals while making soap, riding bikes to village markets to sell her products and single handedly raising two children from a previously failed marriage. 

“My Bride price was paid in Dollars. When I look back to how far I have come and how faithful is Jehovah to me, I’m in awe of him,” she wrote.

“Remember when I used to move from one village market to another on bikes just to sell my soap. 

“Despite the harsh chemicals, hot oils, getting burned, sitting under the rain or sun just to make ends meet. I was consistent with my business and I never allowed it interfere with my theocratic activities. 

“So when I read comments like I don catch maga I smile because some of you don’t know that Jehovah cares for his own and always comes through for those he loves.

“I just Dey on my own for village, Dey sell my soaps and putting Jehovah first o. Even after 2 children a failed marriage, Jehovah chooses to smile on his slave girl and gave me a man, that Jehovah, nothing sweet pass to marry some that you can serve and worship Jehovah together. 

“Before you hate, mock or slander on someone try to know their story.”
