NAF recruitment: Step-by-step guide to check successful candidates online

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has released the final list of successful candidates for the Basic Military Training Course (BMTC 46/2025) recruitment exercise.

The shortlist follows the aptitude test conducted earlier this year. Candidates who applied for the recruitment can now verify their status online through the official NAF recruitment portal.

Those whose names appear on the list are expected to report for military training, which begins on Saturday, July 19, 2025.

Step-by-step guide to check the NAF shortlist

Candidates can confirm whether they have been shortlisted by following these steps:

Step 1: Visit the official NAF recruitment portal

Go to the Nigerian Air Force recruitment website at nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng using any web browser.

Step 2: Open the shortlisted candidates page

On the homepage, you would find the “Information Board” section at the right hand of the page on your screen. Click on the ‘Read more’ instruction. Another page showing ‘Latest updates’ will pop up.

Step 3: Download the PDF file

The shortlist has been published in PDF format and is arranged according to states of origin. Download the document to your phone or computer by clicking on the list of selected candidates to download list.

Step 4: Search for your details

Open the PDF and use the search feature to locate your name. Computer users can press Ctrl + F, while mobile users can use the search icon. Search with either your application number or full name.

What shortlisted candidates should do next

Candidates whose names appear on the list should carefully read the joining instructions published alongside the shortlist on the recruitment portal.

The instructions contain details of the documents, clothing, and other items required for the training exercise.

Shortlisted candidates are expected to report for training from July 19, 2025. The Nigerian Air Force has warned that anyone who fails to report as directed will automatically forfeit the offer.

NAF issues warning to applicants

The Nigerian Air Force has reiterated that its recruitment process is completely free of charge.

Applicants are advised not to pay money to anyone claiming they can influence the recruitment process or secure a place on the shortlist.
