The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency in Taraba State, Alhaji Muktar Galadima, on Thursday said the recently approved establishment of an Army division in Taraba would strengthen security operations and help tackle insecurity in Taraba and Adamawa states.

Galadima also described the siting of the division’s headquarters in Taraba as timely, noting that the development would improve military presence, intelligence gathering and rapid response to security challenges in the region.

The PDP House of Representatives candidate commended President Bola Tinubu for the initiative, stressing that security was essential to achieving sustainable development.

“The siting of the Army’s 10 Division headquarters in Taraba is timely. The establishment of the Army division will strengthen security operations and help tackle insecurity in Taraba and Adamawa states.

“I wish to sincerely commend President Bola Tinubu for the initiative. I believe the development will improve military presence, intelligence gathering and rapid response to security challenges in the region,” he said.

Galadima also assured residents that the protection of lives and property in the constituency would be among his cardinal objectives if elected to the National Assembly in 2027.

He further pledged to support initiatives aimed at promoting security, noting that such measures would boost residents’ confidence and create a safer environment for socio-economic activities to thrive.
