The gubernatorial candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) in Oyo, Hon Bimbo Adekanmbi, and his running mate, Engineer Muftau Open-Salawu, on Thursday concluded their statewide ‘Thank You’ tour with visits to Saki and Iseyin zones, reaffirming their commitment to inclusive governance and sustainable development across the state.
The final leg of the tour covered Saki West, Saki East and Atisbo Local Government Areas, as well as Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola and Iwajowa Local Government Areas, where party leaders, stakeholders, members and supporters gathered in large numbers to welcome the APM standard-bearers.

Speaking at the various meetings, Adekanmbi expressed appreciation to party leaders, stakeholders and members for the confidence reposed in him, noting that the widespread acceptance of his candidacy reflected the collective aspirations of APM members across Oyo State.
He stressed that the mandate entrusted to him belongs to every member of the party and pledged to provide leadership anchored on fairness, transparency, and humility if elected.
According to him, his administration would operate an open-door policy that accommodates all interests within the party, adding that participatory governance would remain a defining feature of his administration’s vision for a greater Oyo.
Adekanmbi also commended party leaders and grassroots mobilisers for their commitment, resilience and sacrifices, describing them as the backbone of the APM.
He urged members to remain united, disciplined and committed to the party’s shared vision, stressing that sustained engagement with the electorate would be crucial to securing victory in the 2027 governorship election.
“Our collective strength lies in our unity. Together, we can build a stronger party capable of delivering quality leadership and meaningful development for the people of Oyo State,” he said.
The APM governorship candidate further assured supporters that his administration would prioritise inclusive development, community empowerment and policies aimed at improving the welfare of residents across the state.
The tour ended on a positive note as stakeholders in both Saki and Iseyin reaffirmed their support for the Adekanmbi/Open-Salawu ticket, expressing confidence in their ability to provide visionary leadership, promote grassroots development and build a more prosperous, secure and inclusive Oyo.
