A passenger has come under fire online after filming a commercial driver appearing to doze off behind the wheel instead of alerting him or fellow passengers, moments before the vehicle crashed.
The viral video, reportedly recorded at about 10:12 a.m., shows the driver with his eyes closed and head repeatedly nodding as the vehicle swerved along the road.
Rather than waking the driver or warning other passengers, the person recording continued filming as the vehicle eventually lost control and crashed into another vehicle.
According to accounts accompanying the footage, the incident caused panic among passengers, some of whom feared a serious accident was imminent even before the crash occurred.
Fortunately, no deaths were recorded, though several passengers reportedly sustained minor injuries and were assisted at the scene.
The incident has ignited debate online, with many social media users criticizing the passenger for prioritizing filming over intervening to prevent the crash. The extent of damage to the vehicles involved and the specific location of the incident have not been independently confirmed.
