Primate Ayodele predicts fierce 2027 polls, says Tinubu faces fresh hurdles

The Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele, has released the 32nd edition of his annual Warnings to the Nations publication, forecasting a turbulent political climate ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general election and making a series of predictions on President Bola Tinubu, opposition parties, and national institutions.

The book of prophecies was unveiled on Saturday in Lagos at the headquarters of the church in the Isolo area of the state.

It projected a fiercely contested presidential election, with the cleric predicting heightened political tension, allegations of electoral manipulation, and intense rivalry among the country’s major political actors.

Ayodele said: “I foresee a lot of underground plans to rig the 2027 elections.” 

He also predicted that opposition parties would strongly resist any attempt to manipulate the electoral process, stating: “The Opposition will seek for ways and means to fight rigging.”

The cleric devoted a significant section of the publication to Tinubu, saying the President would continue to face both domestic and international pressures despite efforts to stabilise the country’s political and economic landscape.

According to him: “Tinubu will do so much in order to ensure the political and economic sustainability of the country but people will not appreciate him.”

Ayodele also questioned the certainty of Tinubu’s re-election prospects, writing: “Tinubu victory is not yet certain except Tinubu takes a bold step. 

“A lot of people will rise up against Tinubu.” 

He further predicted increased political attacks on the ruling party, saying: “People will come out with different propaganda against the ruling party.”

On the conduct of the elections, the cleric warned that the electoral process could come under pressure.

He said: “Elections in Nigeria will be under serious threat.” 

While predicting a high turnout, Ayodele added: “People will come out en-masse for this election.”

However, he cautioned: “The election is not going to be free and fair hundred percent.” 

Beyond the presidential contest, the prophet foresees changes across several federal institutions, including the emergence of a new Vice President, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senate President, and Ministers. 

He also predicted reforms within security agencies and broader shifts in Nigeria’s political landscape.

Described by Primate Ayodele as a compilation of prophetic messages received during the 2026 Lenten season, the 32nd edition of “Warnings to the Nations” contains predictions on Nigeria, states, economy, education, sports, international affairs, and other sectors.

The cleric emphasised that the prophecies were not intended to cause panic, frighten, or intimidate human beings or institutions, but were meant to keep people informed of what he described as divine warnings.
