Sam Larry escapes death, loses bouncer in Lagos road crash

Sam Larry, Nigerian music promoter and socialite, has reportedly been hospitalised following a fatal road accident along the Lagos-Calabar coastal road in Lagos state.
The crash, which reportedly occurred in the early hours of Saturday, involved the vehicle conveying the music promoter and a trailer. The impact of the collision left the vehicle extensively damaged.
The accident reportedly claimed the life of Sam Larry’s bouncer, who was said to have died at the scene, while the music promoter sustained injuries and was rushed to a hospital for medical treatment.
Videos and photographs circulating on social media showed the wreckage of the vehicle with severe front-end damage, underscoring the force of the collision.
The incident gained wider attention after comedian and master of ceremonies Mario Wazobia appealed to Nigerians to pray for the music promoter in posts shared on his Instagram page.
In one post, he wrote, “Pray for Sam Larry,” while another disclosed that the entertainment promoter had been taken to hospital following the accident.
As of the time of filing this report, neither Sam Larry’s family nor his management had issued an official statement on his condition.
Similarly, the Nigeria Police Force and other relevant authorities had yet to release an official account of the crash or confirm the reported death of the bouncer.
