Unidentified man found hanging in Niger uncompleted building

An unidentified man has been found dead in an uncompleted building at Albishiri Area in Chanchaga Local Government Area of Niger.
The community leader, Dangana Abubakar, said residents discovered the body hanging inside the uncompleted building in the morning on Thursday.
According to him, it was the second time that a dead body was found in an uncompleted building in the area.
He said the deceased was yet to be identified and appealed to residents to remain calm while authorities investigate the incident.
Confirming the development, the spokesman for Niger State Police Command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the police received the information at about 7am on Thursday.
He said based on observations, the incident is suspected to be a suicide case.
“Meanwhile, the Chanchaga Local Government Social Welfare Department has been contacted for necessary action, while further investigation is ongoing,” the police spokesman said.
