WAFCON 2026: Malawi appoint technical adviser ahead Super Falcons clash

The Football Association Malawi, FAM, has appointed Sudesh Singh technical adviser to the Scorchers ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, DAILY POST reports.
Singh will work alongside head coach Lovemore Fazili and performance analyst Tyrese Steyn.
According to FAM, the move follows a directive from the Confederation of African Football, CAF, requiring the coach leading a team at WAFCON to hold a CAF A Licence.
Singh will provide technical guidance to the coaching bench, while Fazili remains the team’s head coach throughout the tournament.
The Scorchers will be making their maiden WAFCON appearance in Morocco.
Malawi have been drawn in Group C with holders Nigeria, regional rivals Zambia, and Egypt.
They will open their campaign against the Super Falcons in Rabat on Tuesday, 28 July.
