White South Africans Fire Warning Shots to Stop Anti Immigration Protesters, Video Goes Viral

South Africa continues to face criticism from many African countries over ongoing xenophobic attacks targeting African migrants living in the country.
Many South Africans have also spoken against the attacks and the protests, condemning those involved in targeting foreign nationals.
A recent video shared by Legit News Africa, a Liberian-based online news platform, showed a group of white South Africans blocking an anti immigration protest from entering their community.
According to the video, the protesters, who were mostly black, approached the area while chanting in Zulu.
The white South Africans had blocked the road with several vehicles and warned the protesters not to move any closer.
The video appears to show that when the protesters continued advancing, the white South Africans opened fire.
As gunshots rang out, the protesters fled the area, running for safety.
The footage also appears to show the white South Africans moving toward the protesters while continuing to fire shots in their direction.
The circumstances surrounding the incident, including whether anyone was injured and the exact events leading to the shooting, have not been independently verified.
