Podcaster Joe Rogan has no patience for the latest MAGA world culture war obsession, The Daily Beast reported.

Speaking on his show, he laid into people who were slinging hate at the new rendition of “The Odyssey” in which Christopher Nolan cast Black actress Lupita Nyong’o and transgender actor Elliot Page in key roles. The topic came up in a conversation with actor Tim Robbins about their longing for older days of moviegoing.

“Who … cares?” said Rogan of the controversy.

“That’s one of those movies that’s so big people are scrambling to go see it in the movie theaters,” said Rogan, adding that despite all the “culture war controversies” brewing over the casting, “Everybody that I know that’s seen it, I haven’t seen it yet, says ‘F— it, throw all that away. The movie’s amazing.’”

Nolan, for his part, has reacted to the MAGA outrage over his production with supreme indifference.

Rogan’s show, one of the most heavily watched podcasts in the country, isn’t an inherently political space, but he ends up taking political stances frequently, and made waves by endorsing President Donald Trump in the final days of the 2024 election.

Since then, Rogan has drifted away from Trump, slamming many of his defense and immigration policies and predicting Democrats will clean up in the next presidential election.
