Zoh’s slanderous Bibi remarks: Letters to the Editor — July 25, 2026

The Issue: Mayor Mamdani backing down on his vow to arrest Benjamin Netanyahu in NYC.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should sue Mayor Mamdani for defamation (“Zo’s Threat to US Law,” Jeffrey Lax, PostOpinion, July 23).

His claim that Netanyahu is a criminal is based on a declaration by a group not recognized by the United States. His constant public announcements calling Netanyahu a criminal amount to nothing but slander.

In a time of rampant antisemitism, Mamdani’s rhetoric only exacerbates the situation. He should step aside and let someone who isn’t ravaged by bias take over.

Mamdani’s obsession with wanting Netanyahu arrested is obscene, provocative and extremely disturbing. His actions should disqualify him from being the mayor.

Perhaps the best solution to Mamdani’s remarks would be the following: When he arrives for the United Nations meeting, Netanyahu should receive official greetings from and be escorted by President Trump as a dramatic sign of continued support.

Of course, Mamdani wouldn’t be a part of this. He might better use his time clearing the sidewalks of the encampments he has permitted.

Mamdani’s video claiming Netanyahu is a criminal ends with an official-looking plaque reading “The Office of the Mayor, New York City.” He may have a right to his personal opinions, but what right does he have to give the impression it’s the official position of the New York City government?

His claim that he’s the mayor of all New Yorkers, regardless of their background or political views, is as phony as it gets. His views are more closely related to the most rabid antisemites.

Mamdani needs to be educated. The Israeli army has been declared the most benevolent army in the world. They make every effort not to harm civilians and give fair warning to evacuate before they attack. It is not their goal, unlike their enemies’, to harm civilians.

It is the Arabs who are trained in early childhood to hate their Israeli neighbors. It is the Muslims who are trying to commit genocide [against] Israelis.

Our mayor is an empty suit, bloated with hate for people who have done incredible things for mankind. Bibi is always welcome in New York!

The Issue: Gov. Hochul’s one-year moratorium on the construction on large new data centers.

First, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez killed Amazon jobs in Queens, and now we have Gov. Hochul putting a moratorium on data centers, killing thousands of construction and IT jobs (“ ‘Data’-driven Kat,”July 19)

Her excuse is the drain on power and water. Does she know a golf course uses more water than a data center would? As far as electrical needs, companies can now build their own power plants on site and not draw power from local communities.

New York Democrats only know how to tax, spend and kill jobs.

Hochul accurately highlights the impact of data centers. These facilities consume significant resources from local communities and — despite the common assumption that companies cover expenses — it’s taxpayers who ultimately bear the costs.

However, Hochul’s current opposition may be influenced by the election. Similar to the scenario with congestion tolls, it is probable that data centers will be developed if she resumes office. New Yorkers will then need to take action and stop all aspects of the data-center project.
