Adeleke promises to invest more in poverty reduction, infrastructure development

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun has pledged increased funding for poverty reduction and human capital development to tackle economic hardship.
The governor made the pledge in a state broadcast on Thursday to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the creation of Osun.
Adeleke said his administration would focus more on creating economic opportunities for residents and also intensifying on its anti-poverty initiatives.
He promised to expand industrialisation within the scope of workers’ welfare, and pay greater attention to rural integrated development.
According to him, the government will focus more on creating wealth and deepening anti-poverty initiatives.
Adeleke added that his administration would built on its achievements in infrastructure, digital economy, sports development, agricultural mechanisation, education and healthcare.
“Also, youths, women and students would continue to receive special attention under our administration’s development programmes.
“We promised to renew our focus on ease of doing business to create a more conducive environment for economic activities and investment in the state.
“Also, we shall continue to implement our renewed five-point agenda in accordance with due process, procurement regulations and best practices in project execution,” he said.
The governor further promised to refine the adoption of the local content model while expanding financial inclusion through cooperative sector financing.
Adeleke said these programmes were part of efforts to translate the state’s development potential into tangible benefits for its people.
The governor appealed to residents to continue supporting his administration to deliver good governance and accelerate development across the state.
He reassure residents that his administration would work harder to meet their expectations and promote the overall development of the state.
