This was contained in a letter read by the Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Alfred Emberga, during plenary on Tuesday.
The governor said that the nominations were intended to strengthen the state executive council by filling existing vacancies and replacing outgoing members while bringing additional expertise and capacity into the administration.
The six nominees are Kuma Aii-Yenge, Roy Ashirga, Monday Angwa, Elizabeth Ogenyi, Solomon Iorpev, and Nick Eworo.
The speaker stated that the governor made the nominations in the exercise of his constitutional powers and pursuant to Section 192 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, as amended.
According to him, Alia requested the assembly to give the nominees prompt and favourable consideration in accordance with its constitutional responsibility.
