Krobohene Nana Asa Akonpanin has explained the reason behind his decision, together with members of his community, to dedicate their traditional stool land to Jesus Christ after their traditional gods were allegedly stolen.

According to the chief, the incident left the community questioning the ability of the gods to offer protection after they were unable to prevent their own disappearance.

“Someone stole our god, and if someone has been able to steal the god, how can it protect this community?” the chief reportedly said while recounting the circumstances that led to the decision.

He explained that after discussions with community members and receiving their support, they decided to hand over the stool land to Jesus Christ, believing that the move would bring spiritual transformation and progress to the area.

The traditional leader further claimed that the decision has since brought significant changes to the community, with residents witnessing development and improvement in various aspects of life.

The remarks have sparked conversations on social media, with some people debating the relationship between traditional beliefs and Christianity, while others shared their views on the chief’s decision.

While the chief’s account reflects the beliefs and experiences of the community, the claims surrounding the stolen gods and the reported transformation have not been independently verified.
