Two Suspected Cattle Rustlers Arrested With Hidden Cow in Kano

Security officers in Kano State have arrested two men suspected of cattle rustling.
Jamilu Sa’adu, 45, and Nura Abdullahi, 37, were caught early Tuesday around 3am at a checkpoint along the Tudun Wada-Kiru Road with a cow tied and hidden in the rear of a vehicle.
Officers discovered the animal during a routine search at the checkpoint.
Two other suspected accomplices fled when they saw the operatives and remain at large.
Authorities are searching for them.
The arrested suspects, the cow and two machetes have been taken into custody.
An investigation is underway to determine how the cow was stolen and find its owner.
Once completed, the suspects will be charged and prosecuted in court.
The security command said it remains committed to protecting lives and property across the state and urged the public to provide information about criminal activities.
