The media aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, Lere Olayinka, has expressed concern about insecurity in the North, attributing it to abandoned children.

Naija News reports that Olayinka, in a post via his 𝕏 handle on Tuesday, shared photos of abandoned Northern children in the streets begging for food and money.

According to Olayinka, many terrorists and bandits attacking the citizens were once innocent children roaming the streets, hungry, uneducated, and forgotten.

Wike’s aide emphasised that there is no reason a man who cannot properly take care of one wife and two children should marry three wives and produce fifteen or seventeen children.

The post read, “This is one problem the north must begin to solve now.
