BREAKING: Declan Rice OUT As Arsenal Vs Sporting Clash Set?
DECLAN RICE is a major doubt for Arsenal’s Champions League clash with Sporting Lisbon tomorrow.
The Arsenal midfielder has not trained at London Colney today in a massive blow for Mikel Arteta.
Bukayo Saka, Ricciardo Calafiori, Martin Odegaard, Mikel Merino and Jurrien Timber are all out for the visit of Sporting.
Arsenal won the first leg 1-0, but are in crisis after Saturday’s 2-1 loss to Bournemouth at the Emirates.
It’s not yet known what why England international Rice missed training.
But his absence will be a major headache for under-pressure Gunners boss Arteta and the Emirates faithful.
Arteta refused to divulge any details on the 27-year-old’s apparent injury, saying when pressed: “I don’t want to do that.
“We have to wait and see how he is tomorrow, but he was not available to train.”
“He has played a lot of games and that is part of the issue. But he will try everything he possibly can to be with us.”
Despite having one foot in the semi-finals of the Champions League, the North Londoners are in the midst of a full-blown crisis.
