Carthage Dominates as NCS Struggles to Find Footing

CF Carthage of Tunisia delivered a clinical performance sweeping Nigeria’s NCS in straight sets to solidify their standing in Pool C of the CAVB Women’s African Volleyball Club Championship.

From the opening whistle, the Tunisian powerhouse showcased why they are perennial contenders. Carthage’s aggressive serving and impenetrable net defense left NCS scrambling, resulting in a lopsided 25-8 scoreline in the first set.

NCS showed flashes of resilience in the subsequent frames, finding more rhythm in their transition play. However, Carthage’s depth and tactical discipline proved too much to overcome. Despite a spirited effort from the Nigerian side to extend rallies in the third set, Carthage closed the door with a 25-17 finish, sealing a comprehensive 3-0 victory.

The win puts Carthage in a prime position for the knockout stages, while NCS will need to regroup quickly to keep their tournament hopes alive.
