Edo Assembly confirms Ehimare as IRS Executive Director

BENIN CITY — The Edo State House of Assembly on Monday confirmed Mr Victor Ehimare as Executive Director of the Edo State Internal Revenue Service.

The confirmation followed the consideration and adoption of a report presented by the House Standing Committee on Rules, Business and Government House, chaired by the Majority Leader, Hon. Jonathan Ibhamawu.

Presenting the report, the committee stated that Ehimare possessed the requisite academic qualifications and relevant experience to effectively discharge the responsibilities of the office.

Following deliberations, the House adopted the committee’s recommendation and formally confirmed his appointment.

The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Blessing Agbebaku, thereafter directed Mr Ehimare to take a bow and also ordered that clean copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Governor for necessary action.
