Ned Nwoko dismisses fresh Paris Club refund claims

The lawmaker representing Delta North Senatorial District, Senator Ned Nwoko, has dismissed reports alleging fresh claims relating to outstanding consultancy fees linked to his company, describing the publications as false, misleading, and a distortion of established facts.
In a statement issued by his media team in Abuja on Friday, the Senator responded to what he called “malicious” reports concerning the Paris Club refund matter.
He said the issue had already been thoroughly examined through multiple investigations conducted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission all of which reached consistent conclusions.
According to the statement, four separate reviews by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission confirmed that contractual work was duly executed, while any outstanding balances remain subject to existing agreements.
The statement also referenced records from the Federal Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Nigeria, saying they support documentation of payments and audits related to the matter.
It further dismissed allegations linking the senator to any improper collaboration involving the Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, describing them as baseless and malicious.
The senator also accused certain individuals of circulating misinformation and said legal steps had been taken in response to alleged defamatory publications.
He insisted there was no “fresh claim” in the matter and rejected suggestions that $350 million was ever paid to him or his company.
Nwoko urged the public to rely on verified institutional records, reaffirming his commitment to due process, transparency, and the rule of law.
