Tinubu meets Renewed Hope Ambassadors, says “I took over from myself”

President Bola Tinubu is meeting with coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) at the presidential villa in Abuja.

The meeting, which is ongoing, has in attendance the 36 state coordinators of the group.

Others present include Vice President Kashim Shettima, governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC); Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, APC national chairman; and other party leaders.

President Tinubu said his administration is a continuation of the previous government led by the late president, Muhammadu Buhari.

His words: “I took over from myself. The late Buhari is me. He was a partner. If I took over from him, is that not from myself?”

Tinubu established the Renewed Hope Ambassadors on November 25, 2025. The group is designed as a grassroots mobilisation platform to promote his re-election bid ahead of the 2027 elections.
