APC clears 81 aspirants for House of Reps seats in Benue
At least 81 aspirants from the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Benue State have been approved to vie for tickets into the House of Representatives across the state’s 11 federal constituencies.
According to our correspondent, after the party released the names of cleared contenders for the primaries slated for today, members have been waiting for the distribution of electoral materials at the APC secretariat in Makurdi.
The breakdown indicates that Jechira Federal Constituency has the largest pool of aspirants, with 11 individuals competing for the party’s nomination.
Buruku, Ado, and Gboko federal constituencies each recorded seven aspirants.
However, as of 10:05 a.m., materials for the exercise had not yet departed the APC headquarters in Makurdi for the various constituencies, and party officials had yet to issue any official statement explaining the delay.
