Dapo Abiodun on their emergence as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and senatorial candidate for Ogun East Senatorial District respectively in the just concluded APC primary elections in Ogun State.
Amosun, in a statement, described the conduct of the primaries as a major victory for democracy, party unity, and the collective interest of the APC in the state.
He noted that the impressive turnout of party members during the exercise further demonstrated the confidence reposed in the APC and its leadership ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
While congratulating Yayi on his emergence as the APC governorship candidate, Amosun described him as a committed and experienced politician with a deep connection to the grassroots.
He equally congratulated Dapo Abiodun on emerging as the APC senatorial candidate for Ogun East Senatorial District, stating that the outcome of the primaries reflected the confidence and trust party members have in his leadership capacity.
He said, “The party is above every individual interest. Once the party has spoken through a democratic process, all members must respect and support the decision for the overall progress and victory of the APC.”
He urged all aspirants, supporters, and party faithful to unite and work collectively for the success of all APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
He also commended party leaders, stakeholders, electoral committee members, INEC officials, and security agencies for ensuring a peaceful, transparent, and credible primary election process throughout the state.
According to him, the peaceful atmosphere that characterized the exercise reflected the political maturity of party members and their commitment to sustaining the unity and progress of the APC.
He called on members to sustain the spirit of sportsmanship, mutual respect, and cooperation that characterized the primary election process across the state.
Amosun reaffirmed his loyalty and commitment to the ideals of the APC, assuring party members of his continuous support toward strengthening the party and advancing democratic governance in Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole.
