APC says Uzodimma’s victory reward for excellence

The Imo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has described the victory of the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, in the primaries of the party for Imo West Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 polls as a reward for excellence.

The spokesperson of the APC in the state, Dr. Onwuasoanya FCC Jones, said this in a statement he made available to newsmen.

In the statement on Tuesday, Jones said: “The All Progressives Congress in Imo State extends its heartfelt gratitude to our Party members in Imo West District for their resounding demonstration of solidarity with His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, in the recently concluded Senatorial Primary Election of our great Party in the area. 

“The Primary Election result which was tabulated and confirmed by the Chairman of the National Assembly Primary Election Committee Chairman, Rear Admiral Williams Kayode (Rtd), proves beyond every reasonable doubt that His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, enjoys the overwhelming love, gratitude and solidarity of his people of Imo West Senatorial District, due to his sterling performance over the past years as the political leader of the zone. 

“His victory with over 230,000 votes against the paltry One thousand votes cast for the immediate past Senator of the district shows beyond every reasonable doubt that Party members across the twelve LGAs of the Senatorial District are overwhelmingly satisfied with his trajectory of legislative and executive service and would wish that he continues to serve them as their Senator. 

“The Party in the State, is especially elated at the victory of His Excellency because we believe that his return to the Senate of the Federal Republic shall continue to enhance our Party’s stability and acceptability as his enviable wealth of legislative credentials shall come handy in helping to consolidate the gains of the Renewed Hope agenda of His Excellency President Bola Tinubu, GCFR.”
