Atiku wins ADC presidential primaries in Taraba
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has been declared winner of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential primary in Taraba State.
Atiku defeated former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi and Mohammed Hayatudeen in the exercise held across 168 wards of the state.
Chairman of the ADC Presidential Election Committee, Hosea Kuti, while announcing the development on Tuesday in Jalingo, the state capital, said Atiku polled 48,523 votes to clinch victory.
He said results from all 16 LGAs were collated and submitted on Monday in line with the party’s guidelines and timetable.
Kuti gave the breakdown of results as follows:Atiku — 48,523 votesAmaechi — 25,150 votesHayatu Deen— 8,369 votes
