The communique bearing official falsely attributed to President Duma Boko, had announced that a public holiday would be observed on Wednesday, May 20, to allow fans to celebrate Arsenalâs feat after 22 years.

The statement purported to recognise the loyalty, passion and unwavering support of Arsenal fans over the years.Â

It urged the fans to take the day off work and celebrate, calling on employers to âfoster a âspirit of unityâ

The government in a post on X, disowned the communique, flagging it as a fake.Â

âNo, there is no holiday for Arsenal fans,â the post reads.Â
