Capitol fire LIVE: Evacuation in Washington DC as blaze reported at Visitors Centre

A fire has been reported at the Capitol in Washington DC as fire services evacuate the area. DC Fire crews are responding to a smoke investigation at the US Capitol Visitors Center after an electrical panel caught fire.
The blaze has already been extinguished, all civilians have been safely evacuated, and firefighters are now ventilating the area to clear remaining smoke.
