“Continue to pray for peace, progress under Tinubu” – APC tells Nigerians

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on Nigerians to continue to pray for peace and national progress under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
The party made the call in a statement issued on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
While extending warm greetings to Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, the party described the ocassion as a sacred celebration that embodies faith, sacrifice, obedience, humility, and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah.
Morka also highlighted the spiritual significance of the festival, which commemorates the exemplary obedience of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), who was willing to sacrifice his son Ismail in submission to God’s command.
“Eid-el-Kabir, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, honours the exemplary obedience and faith of Prophet Ibrahim (AS)… The profound spiritual message of the occasion is rooted in selflessness, sacrifice, love, faith and trust in God,” Morka said.
He urged Nigerians to internalise the core values of the celebration—love for one another, generosity to the poor and needy, compassion, understanding, and peaceful coexistence.
The ruling party further enjoined citizens to “continue to pray for peace, and progress of our nation and support reforms under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, geared to strengthen the country’s socio-economic structures, promote national unity, and advance sustainable development.”
