Mango founder’s son steps down from company after arrest in dad’s murd3r case
Jonathan Andic has announced he is stepping down as vice president of Mango as he battles allegations linked to the death of his billionaire father, company founder Isak Andic.
.....
In a message addressed to the company, Jonathan insisted he was innocent and described the accusations against him as “the gravest, most unjust and unfounded accusation” imaginable. The resignation comes days after Spanish authorities arrested him in connection with the December 2024 death of Isak Andic, who died after falling from a cliff during a walk near the family’s home in Spain.
Investigators initially treated the incident as an accident, but reports later suggested authorities began questioning aspects of Jonathan’s account of the events. According to reports, detectives also examined alleged tensions within the family related to financial matters and possible changes to Isak Andic’s will.
Jonathan, who inherited control of Mango alongside his sisters following his father’s death, criticised what he described as a distorted public narrative surrounding the case, saying perceptions of his guilt “bear no relation to reality.”

Despite the controversy, Mango’s leadership publicly backed him, with chief executive Toni Ruiz and the company’s board reportedly expressing confidence that the legal process would ultimately clear his name.
Jonathan was released after posting bail reportedly valued at around $1.16 million and is expected to return to court next month as investigations continue. Isak Andic co-founded Mango in 1984, transforming the company into one of Europe’s largest fast-fashion brands with a significant international presence.
