Ninety aspirants jostle for 32 Oyo Assembly seats in APC

No fewer than 90 aspirants are currently jostling for the 32 seats at the Oyo State House of Assembly on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC.  

The 90 aspirants are currently working to secure the tickets on the platform of the party ahead of 2027 general elections. 

Chairman of APC Gubernatorial and House of Assembly primary elections in the state, Taofik Abdulsalam revealed this while addressing a press conference at the APC State Secretariat in Ibadan on Wednesday.

Abdulsalam who was flanked by the Chairman of the elections monitoring team, Ayo Afolabi noted that his committee has gone to different wards to monitor the primary elections. 

He said that 90 aspirants collected the House of Assembly nomination forms under the party, adding that all the aspirants were cleared and are contesting. 

“We have been on the field since yesterday. We have covered the primary elections for House of Assembly seats in Oyo State. 

“By the grace of God, the results will be announced by the National Headquarters of the party. 

“The State House of Assembly is very crucial, that is why the party put in place this committee. 

“Everyone that obtained the forms have been cleared. No one was disqualified. Ninety aspirants obtained the forms. All of them were cleared”.
