"Being able to use every part of your body without pain is a gift" – Basketmouth shares message on the importance of gratitude to God

Nigerian comedian, Basketmouth, has shared a message highlighting the importance of gratitude to God and not taking the simple gift of life and health for granted.
In the message he shared on his Instagram story on Sunday, May 31, 2026, he encouraged people to do better at showing gratitude to God and giving proper thanks to Him for simply being alive and healthy.
He noted that being healthy and alive is priceless and a privilege many people don’t have.
“We all need to do better at showing gratitude to God. Waking up in the morning, healthy and alive is a blessing that many people don’t have,” he wrote.
He reminded people to stop dwelling on setbacks and disappointments and instead practice gratitude for simple everyday blessings, including being able to move the body without pain or difficulty.
“So what if you miss a deadline? So what if you don’t get that promotion? Lose your job? Or your car breaks down? If you are alive and healthy, you still have something priceless,” he wrote.
According to him, people don’t realise the importance of functioning buttocks until they have to deal with painful boils in such a sensitive area.
“Have you ever had boils on both ass cheeks before? That’s when you truly discover the importance of buttocks. Suddenly, sitting becomes a luxury and a functioning buttocks becomes a blessing,” he added.
