"Dear parents, pay more attention to your male child" teacher warns as she shares incident at school that left her traumatised

A Nigerian teacher has urged parents to pay attention to their sons and male wards as she shared an incident that occurred at the school where she teaches.
.....
The teacher narrated how a boy in SS1 went into crisis and was foaming in the mouth in school.
He was taken home where he confessed that a classmate gave him “colos” to consume after he complained of a headache.
The classmate’s bag was searched and a substance said to be hard drug was found.
I AM TRAUMATISED.
Today is one of those days I questioned my sojourn into public school.
This morning, an SS 1 male student was rushed into the staff room because he was convulsing and was behaving like he was going to dye the next minute. He even started foaming from the mouth. All the teachers became afraid and started doing everything to make him stable. Some were praying, others were looking for his parents’ contact to call them while others kept doing one thing or the other to keep him alive.
We eventually got one of us to drive him home with his classmates carrying him. Less than twenty minutes later, they returned and said that the boy just confessed that his “best friend”, his classmate gave him hard drug to consume.
Do you know the irony? One of the teachers who knew them to be best friends went to inquire from this same “best friend” what could have been wrong from the boy and he said that he complained of headache when he came to school this morning!!! He watched us scramble around to find a solution to the evil he gave to his ” best friend”!
How would we have known that a boy who is probably less than 15 years had already taken ” colos” as early as 9am?

We invited the boy over and started questioning him. We searched his bag and found hard drugs!!! The first one in powdered form, before the teacher could figure it out, he threw it into his mouth and swallowed it!
The teacher saw another one wrapped in a paper and he threw that one into his mouth but couldn’t swallow it. The teachers forced him and they couldn’t get to bring it out from him. The SS 3 boys came and told us to allow them talk to him.
These boys themselves are also familiar with hard drugs because they told him that they can smell the drug in his mouth and that he should bring it out. The boy brought it out and they all screamed at him and asked him why he was taking it raw. They told him that he could get maad if he swallows that thing like that.
Let me spare you all the scary details. Today is my first day of seeing hard drug in its form!!! I am going to show you all too. Today’s event will not be erased from my mind. I have not recovered from what I saw today. I don’t even know the lesson to make from this.
Dear parents, I can only tell you to pay more attention to your boy child!
