Security forces arrest five suspected criminals in Adamawa
Joint security operatives have arrested five suspected criminals during a coordinated raid on criminal hideouts in Mubi metropolis, Adamawa State.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation was carried out around 6:00 am on May 15 by troops of the 232 Battalion (Tactical), working alongside personnel of the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), local hunters, and vigilante groups.
The sources said the operation targeted suspected criminal enclaves across parts of Mubi as part of ongoing efforts to curb criminal activities in the area.
“The joint team conducted fighting patrols and raids on identified hideouts within the metropolis, leading to the arrest of five suspects,” a security source disclosed.
The suspects were later handed over to the police for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Security authorities said the raid forms part of sustained operations aimed at strengthening security and restricting the activities of criminal elements in Adamawa State.
