US-wanted nephew of drug lord ‘El Chapo’ Guzman captured by Mexican security operatives

Mexican authorities have arrested a nephew of imprisoned drug kingpin Joaquin Guzman during a security operation in northern Mexico, officials confirmed on Tuesday, May 26.

Omar Garcia Harfuch, one of Mexico’s top security officials, announced the arrest in a statement shared on X, noting that the suspect is also wanted by auth orities in the United States.
