Police said the brother who suffered head injuries was later given shelter by a friend who helped him after the fight. But tragedy struck the next day when he was found dead. In an even more shocking turn, the second brother was also discovered dead on the same day. According to police, he was found lying under a tree with bruises across his body.
Investigators are still trying to determine the exact circumstances of both deaths and whether other factors may have played a role. Police have not yet released further details about what led to the second brother’s death. Following the incident, police urged the public to avoid using violence to settle disagreements. Commissioner Nyathi called on communities to resolve conflicts peacefully and seek dialogue whenever disputes arise.
The deaths have left residents shocked as investigators continue gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses. Police said more information may be released once the investigation is complete. The tragedy serves as a reminder of how quickly disagreements can spiral out of control, with what allegedly began as an argument over a funeral policy pamphlet ending in the loss of two lives.
