2027 presidential election: I don’t see any good candidate that can take this country to a better place- singer Skales

Nigerian singer Skales has expressed pessimism ahead of the 2027 presidential election, stating that he does not see any worthy candidates being fielded by the political parties.

The musician shared his views during an interactive session with his followers on X on Sunday, June 21, 2026.

The conversation began when media personality Rufai Oseni posted a prompt asking Nigerians who they intended to vote for in the upcoming elections. Replying directly to the post, Skales wrote, “To be honest, none.”

The comment sparked reactions from fans, with one follower suggesting that the singer had not done enough research before dismissing the entire field of candidates.

Defending his stance, Skales clarified his position by stating that he genuinely does not see any of the current presidential hopefuls possessing the capacity to lead Nigeria to a better place.
