Nigeria gains representation on global media jury
Nigerian marketing communications professional and brand strategist, Anietie Udoh, has been appointed a jury member for the 2026 Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards, an international competition focused on corporate films, online media, documentaries and television productions.
According to a statement, Udoh will participate in the first round of evaluations from June 30 to July 19, 2026, while the second round of judging is scheduled for July 27 to August 16, 2026.
The appointment adds to Udoh’s growing list of international judging assignments and expands Nigeria’s representation in global marketing and media evaluation platforms.
Udoh, who serves as Divisional Director of Marketing at Marketing Edge Publications, has built a career spanning journalism, public relations, corporate communications and brand strategy.
He has previously served as a jury member for the Effie Awards South Africa, AME Awards, International ECHO Awards, International Content Marketing Awards, Native Advertising Awards, World Media Festivals and the 2026 SABRE Awards EMEA, among others.
His professional engagements have also included collaborations connected to the New York Festivals International Advertising Awards, Loeries, African Cristal Festival and Cannes Lions.
Industry observers note that the growing participation of African professionals on international judging panels is contributing to broader representation in the assessment of creative and corporate media projects while increasing the visibility of talent and innovations from the continent.
The statement noted that Udoh’s appointment comes as more African marketing and communications professionals gain recognition on global industry platforms.
With nearly two decades of experience in marketing communications and brand development, Udoh has been involved in initiatives aimed at promoting African creativity and professional standards within the industry.
His latest appointment follows a series of international recognitions and industry honours linked to his work in digital communications and strategic brand development.
The statement added that the appointment reflects the increasing participation of African professionals in global conversations around creativity, storytelling, corporate communications and media excellence.
