“Stop hiding gossip behind your hallelujahs” — Pastor Laurie Idahosa speaks against gossip

Pastor Laurie Idahosa has shared a series of posts condemning gossip and careless speech.

The wife of Bishop Faith Idahosa warned against speaking negatively about people behind their backs, saying such conversations often create bigger problems.

She also criticised those who disguise gossip as prayer requests or “breaking news.”

“We love saying ‘God no go shame us’ while we secretly shame others. Gossip is not prayer request,” she wrote.

In another post, Laurie added: “Yes, I’m a Pastor. No, I won’t pretend that the ‘pray for them’ WhatsApp broadcast you made isn’t rubbish. Stop hiding gossip behind your hallelujahs!”

She ended the series with a prayer, asking God to forgive hurtful words spoken in secret and heal wounds caused by the tongue.
