“Father, please save these abducted teachers and students and return them home safely.”
The General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Adeboye, prays for the release of the teachers and students in Oyo State who have been abducted.
Gunmen invaded three schools in the Oriire neighborhood of Oyo State on May 15, kidnapping 39 students between the ages of two and sixteen as well as seven teachers.
One teacher was also slain. Despite special forces, aircraft searches, and President Tinubu’s approval of 1,000 additional forest rangers, no prisoners have been released.
Amidst teacher strikes and national demonstrations, Adeboye’s heartfelt appeal during Monday’s service went viral.
While some applauded it for its faith, others called for more direct action, such as protests.
“Father, please rescue these kidn@pped schoolchildren and teachers and bring them back home safely.”🙏🛐🥹
