Allen Onyema Urges Nigerians to Pull Investments From South Africa Over Xenophobia

Air Peace Chief Executive Officer Allen Onyema has intensified his call for Nigerians to boycott South Africa over recurring xenophobic att@cks against foreign nationals, urging economic disengagement rather than vi%lent retaliation.

Speaking during an interview shared online, Onyema expressed frustration over the repeated har@ssment and forceful expulsion of Nigerians and other foreigners from their businesses in South Africa, questioning why authorities had failed to act despite having security agencies in place.

“How do you explain when people will march into somebody’s house… ‘Can I see your papers? You’re a foreigner, you have to go back home’?” he asked.

While firmly condemning the att@cks, Onyema equally rejected any form of vi%lent response against South Africans or their businesses in Nigeria, stressing that such actions would be out of character for Nigerians.

“I don’t want Nigerians to go to the street and att@ck any South Africans. Nigerians are not like that. We love foreigners,” he said.

Instead, he proposed economic pressure as the most strategic and responsible course of action, calling on Nigerians to withdraw investments and cease doing business in South Africa altogether.

“The kind of retaliation I want is non-violent action. Boycott South Africa. Don’t invest in that country,” he stated.
