Alexx Ekubo, who passed away in May, was laid to rest on Thursday, June 18, in his hometown of Arochukwu, Abia State.
The burial followed a wave of online controversy sparked by OAP, Daddy Freeze, who publicly criticized the white dress code and upbeat musical selections at the earlier Service of Songs. Freeze questioned the celebratory nature of the events, arguing that a man passing away at the young age of 40 should be strictly mourned rather than celebrated.
