Evra Mocks Arsenal After PSG Champions League Final Defeat

Manchester United legend Patrice Evra has once again taken aim at Arsenal, this time mocking the club following their heartbreaking defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League final.
The former defender took to social media to share a video featuring the Champions League trophy set to MC Hammer’s iconic track “U Can’t Touch This,” a pointed dig at the Gunners’ continued wait for European glory.
Mikel Arteta’s side had made it all the way to the final this season but ultimately fell short, losing 4-3 on penalties to the French giants. In the match itself, Kai Havertz had given Arsenal the lead, before Ousmane Dembele levelled matters from the penalty spot for PSG.
The tie was eventually settled in the shootout, where despite Nuno Mendes having his effort saved by David Raya, Arsenal’s Eberechi Eze and Gabriel Magalhães both failed to convert their attempts, handing PSG back-to-back Champions League titles.
In his post, Evra was seen dancing gleefully to the song, cheekily pointing out that while Arsenal may have claimed the Premier League title, a Champions League triumph appears to be at least another 50 years away for the club.
This is far from the first time Evra has delighted in Arsenal’s European misery.
Following their semifinal exit to PSG in the previous season, he posted a similar video laced with sarcasm, saying he felt sympathy for Arsenal and claiming the problem was not with the players or the manager but with the fans, who he suggested have a habit of believing things that never materialise.
He also quipped that he would be hesitant to do business with an Arsenal supporter for that very reason, before quickly adding that it was all in good fun and that he holds genuine affection for the club.
Throughout his playing career, Evra faced Arsenal on 21 occasions, coming out on top 13 times and losing just four, while also contributing a goal and an assist against them in the Premier League during his time at Manchester United.
