The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Egbewole, has announced the death of the institution’s 9th Vice-Chancellor, Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali.
The announcement is contained in a statement issued on Saturday in Ilorin by the Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr Kunle Akogun.
According to the statement, Ambali, who served as Vice-Chancellor from 2012 to 2017, died in the early hours of Saturday after a brief illness at the age of 68.
