Police commissioner inspects highway flashpoints in Delta

Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, has embarked on a tour of identified critical flashpoints across the state, including Edjekota Junction, Evwreni Junction, Ohoro Junction, and other stop-and-search points along the expressway, where he assessed security deployments and addressed officers on duty.
During the visibility policing and supervisory tour of key formations and flashpoints on Saturday, the Commissioner of Police charged officers and operatives to “remain vigilant, observe professionalism, and engage members of the public with courtesy and respect.”
He warned against any form of abuse, harassment, or incivility, stressing that policing must be carried out with a human face and in strict adherence to human rights standards.
The CP directed that “officers must be properly dressed, maintain a smart appearance, and conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the core values of the Nigeria Police Force.”
He, however, commended the efforts of the officers and operatives while also reminding them that “the Command will not tolerate any form of misconduct or complaints from the public.”
The CP reassured residents that the Command, under his leadership, “is committed to ensuring the safety of life and property,” while urging members of the public to support the police with credible and timely information.
